To be? or not to be? that is the question (Shakespeare’s Hamlet)

To supply an album or just give them the images on a CD?… now that is a question. (Photographers)

It has certainly been a key topic amongst photographers in the past few years and the industry seems further than ever from answering this question.

We know that photographers get a lot of their work from referrals, friends see their portrait in a frame, they see the wedding album and it’s no surprise it encourages people to seek out the photographer who did the work when they need a photographer themselves. So to give images on a CD with no prints to be viewed by friends and family has many commercial dangers

The reason for “No Album” always appears to be blamed on price but maybe it is that Photographers are just not experienced enough at selling the value of their work and the pleasure a well designed album will bring to the owner, not just in the next few weeks but for many years in the future.

So well done to Jorgensen Albums with an excellently priced CD Album. There can be no way that this superb product cannot be an absolute minimum part of a package.

So with this new product available now lets hope the days of the CD only are dead and buried and let’s hope we can return to having lots of images out there in Albums, Frames and even CD folio albums.
