BRITAIN’S BEST PHOTOGRAPHY THE EVENT We have also chosen one of the best venues in the country, Chatsworth House & Gardens as well as St Peters Church; a simply stunning location full of photographic opportunuties. We have at least 9 models throughout the 4 days to ensure you get loads of variety in your photography. BOOK EARLY to avoid disappointment as places are limited. THE VENUE We have chosen our venue very carefully to give you the best opportunity of taking photos with jaw dropping backgrounds. We will be using many of the features around Chatsworth including the gardens with all its wonderful characteristics. The 105 acre gardens are a magical landscape with photographic opportunities in every direction. There are splendid waterfalls, a 300 year old water cascade, streams, ponds, sculptures, ornate temples, a huge maze, not to mention all the rare trees, shrubs and flowers. We are also spoilt with the rose cottage, kitchen gardens and a new sensory garden. This has got to be one of the finest houses in the UK, home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and even though we will not be photographing the interior of the house itself, we have all its grand features as our background. We will be shooting outdoors in the gardens on both the Wedding and Portrait sections of the workshop. CAVENDISH ROOMS We have also booked out 2 fantastic rooms within the Cavendish Suite where we will start our days, plan some shoots, cover all the Sales & Marketing aspects and watch slideshows of images at the end of the day. For the Wedding part of the workshop, we will also be shooting in the wonderful church, St Peter’s Church, on the Chatsworth Estate at Edensor. ST PETERS CHURCH, EDENSOR Located in the heart of the Peak District, this 19th Century church boasts more than just a stunning location. It is a lovely church within a stone’s throw of Chatsworth House and actually in the Chatsworth Estate itself. You will be spending a couple of hours each day with each different wedding photography tutor in the church. This is where you can learn about how to deal with tricky lighting situations, posing of bride and groom, creative shots, use of backgrounds etc. THE WORKSHOP DAYS 1 & 2 On Days 1&2, we will be concentrating on taking you through a wedding from start to finish with two sets of Bride and Groom. Tutors, Crash Taylor and Gordon McGowan, with their different styles, will teach you all in the proposed agenda (see below) in both the gardens, the Cavendish Rooms as well as St Peters Church. Our guests will be split into two groups. One group will be learning with Gordon McGowan on Day 1, then Crash Taylor on Day 2. The other group will be learning with Crash Taylor on Day 1, then Gordon McGowan on Day 2. DAYS 3 & 4 On Days 3&4, we will be covering Sales and Marketing with Catherine Connor in the Cavendish Rooms. We will also be following the expert tutor, Annabel William’s guidelines whilst shooting portraits with child models and male & female models. Annabel shoots in mainly natural light so we will be making the most of the outdoors. Our guests will be split into two groups. One group will be learning with Annabel Williams on Day 1, then Catherine Connor on Day 2. The other group will be learning with Catherine Connor on Day 1, then Annabel Williams on Day 2.
